Often depicted as an immortal winged horse, Pegasus represents the union between earth and sky, gods and man.  This ancient Greek myth goes back at least to the 8th century BCE where it is first mentioned in poetry.  Coins bearing the image of Pegasus were struck numerous times throughout the centuries in the areas of modern Greece and northern Turkey.  The back is plain, and the chain is sold separately.  Also available with a diamond accent.
