This is a replica of an old Greek coin with the image of a lion, cast in silver.  The original coin dates to about 400 - 350 BC from the colony of Cherronesos, which is today located in European Turkey.  We've oxidized the coin to give it a darkened effect and then framed it in a richly golden bezel of pure 24k gold.  The granulation work that is channel set is impeccably consistent in size and shape.  The size of the shank lends a handsome presence to this unique ring.
